General Strategy & Tips

Weapons Mark Level Impact

For both Ground and Space combat endeavors (deal damage, defeat foes), your equipment tier is the single largest multiplier of completion speed.

Recommendation

Ensure your active weaponry is at least Mark XII or higher. Upgrading a basic phaser split beam or torpedo from Mk VIII to Mk XV increases core damage capacity by over 200%, significantly shortening the time required to clear kill quotas.

The "Home" Mission Exploit

The Victory is Life episode “Home” is an exceptionally efficient map that serves as a multi-purpose farming zone for multiple Personal Endeavors.

1. Space Combat Phase (Intro)

  • Objective Compatibility: Deal Damage (Space), Destroy Hur'q Frigates, Hull Healing (Space), and Shield Healing (Space).
  • Method: Complete the initial fleet action against Hur'q forces. The density of targets allows quick resolution of space heals and kills.

2. Ground Combat Phase (Frontier Medicine)

  • Objective Compatibility: All Deal Damage (Ground) categories, Defeat Captains (Ground), Defeat Hur'q Attendants (Ground), Health Healing (Ground), and Shield Healing (Ground).
  • Method: Clear the hordes of incoming Hur'q attendants and local bosses.

Farming Mechanics Warning

To preserve this farm for future use: DO NOT complete the "Frontier Medicine" section. Once you have satisfied your endeavor requirements, simply beam out. The mission progress will save at the start of that ground segment, allowing you to instantly load back into the ground battle area next time you receive these endeavors.

Multi-Character Setup

If you play on multiple characters, progress through the space intro and park one character at the start of the "Frontier Medicine" ground section. You can leave them logged out there, reserving them as a dedicated ground-farming character.

Healing Mechanics Intel

Ground Health & Shield Healing

Resolving ground healing objectives is best achieved by forcing environmental damage rather than waiting for combat encounters.

Nukara Acid Pools Exploits

  • Nukara Prime: Travel to the hazard zones in Nukara Prime. Equip an Engineering kit module (Medical Generator for health, Shield Generator for shields) and stand inside the acid pools.
  • EV Suit Trick: To accelerate healing ticks, temporarily deactivate your Environmental Suit while standing in the acid. This induces constant shield/health damage, forcing your generators to heal continuously.
  • Shield Fullness Constraint: Shield heals will NOT accumulate or count towards your endeavor goal if your shield strength is already at 100%. You must be actively taking damage for the healing numbers to register.

New Romulus Insect Swarms alternative

  • If Nukara is unavailable, travel to New Romulus and stand in the insect swarms located across the map. Unlike Nukara Prime, you can bring a Bridge Officer here to heal you or stand next to you.

Space Hull & Shield Healing

Space healing registers when active skills (Hazard Emitters, Science Team, transfer systems) repair damage. Passive hull/shield regeneration does NOT count.

  • Shield Unequipping Trick: For both hull and shield endeavors, unequip your ship's shield console/item. This ensures your hull takes immediate direct damage during patrols or battlezones, allowing you to trigger hull heals immediately.
  • Passive Warning: High ratings in Damage Control (for hull) or Shield Regeneration mods and skills actually slow down your progress, as passive regeneration heals you without adding to the endeavor tally.
  • "Midnight" U.S.S. Cleveland Farm: Load the episode “Midnight”. Fight the first wave of Iconian vessels during the “Our Final Hour” segment. Once the wave is defeated, do not hail the U.S.S. Cleveland. The ship will remain under constant hull damage. Stand next to it and spam your hull heals on the Cleveland as much as desired to complete the endeavor in minutes.

Temporal Operative Spec Exploit

The Non-Linear Progression passive skill from the Temporal Operative Specialization tree is highly effective for both hull and shield healing endeavors.

How it works

If this specialization skill is active and you enter combat, simply put your ship in Reverse. Flying backwards while in combat triggers continuous health and shield ticks from the specialization, which register as active heals and completes both endeavors rapidly.

Resource Harvesting & Miscellaneous

Ground Material Harvesting

Collecting materials requires scanning anomalous nodes on ground maps.

  • Sphere of Influence: This mission offers 2 nodes directly in the initial spawn room. Collect the 2 nodes, beam out of the mission, and restart it immediately to respawn the nodes. This allows completion in under two minutes.
  • Diplomatic Orders (Federation): Provides 2 nodes on Vulcan and 4 nodes during the P'Jem ground portion.

Space Material Harvesting

Space nodes are scanned anomalies in space maps, commonly found in Tau Dewa patrols.

  • Patrol Farming Loop: Enter patrols in the Tau Dewa Sector (e.g., Archer System, Carraya System, Japori, Jouret, Beta Thoridor, Starbase 234). Collect the anomaly nodes, then immediately abandon the patrol/leave map without completing the fights. Re-enter to farm nodes continuously.
  • Node Counts: Archer System Patrol (3), Carraya System Patrol (2), Japori System Patrol (3), Jouret System Patrol (3), and Diplomatic Orders (6 nodes in space segment).
  • “Mine Enemy” Exploit: Load the mission. It contains 4 space nodes. Collect them, immediately beam out of the mission, and restart (ignoring the moons completely) to repeat.

Complete this endeavor by placing a bet on any Dabo table. Major Dabo table locations include Deep Space 9 (Quark's Bar) and Drozana Station.

Gain Salvage

While salvaging drops from patrols and adventure zones is standard, the most cost-effective method is purchasing cheap items directly.

Vendor Salvage Trick

Travel to any ground gear vendor (e.g., on Earth Spacedock). Purchase low-cost Mark IX ground gear (approx. 4,000 Energy Credits each) and salvage them directly from your inventory. This satisfies the endeavor immediately for a small credit cost.
